ffmsindex software package provides Command line tool to create ffms2 index files, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ffmsindex
ffmsindex is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ffmsindex package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ffmsindex *
You will get with ffmsindex package name, version, architecture and description in a table
